Capitalism is Falling

Capitalism is Failing
The days of the free-market and the ability to be an entrepreneur, making your future the way that you want it are coming to a halt.  Not because of a lack of entrepreneurial spirit or drive, but because the U.S.A. is changing ever so rapidly into a socialist nation. What has caused this change?  Is it the economic conditions we face today? Or the government involvement that has led to this downfall?  I say, maybe a little of both, but capitalism, is not at fault. After studying this topic of discussion I came across many article, blogs, and to say the least, way to many opinions. But, each of those opinions made me realize something. It is the rich that want capitalism and the poor that do not. Very true. But, it is also the poor that attack the CEO’s and corporate “big-shots” saying that, “these people are out to get us”. But are they? No. In fact they are taking advantage of that freedom that we are granted in America. That you never have to settle. To me, the people that are against capitalism are saying, “Shame on you wealthy, successful business owner for working hard and restless nights, starting out when you were young and working for little to no pay, trying to get off the ground, and when you finally made it big, you never settled for mediocrity, shame on you”. Sound ridiculous? It is indeed! This is the way that I “reflect” upon this issue of capitalism. We have all been given an equality of opportunity. This does not mean we are “given” an equality of outcome. It is a very generalized stereotype that all CEO’s are greedy and out to make profits not business decisions. Or to be “slave-drivers” who pay their slaves, but pay them such a minuscule wage, it’s insulting. I do believe that capitalism is failing. Not because it doesn’t work, but because our government’s involvement has turned socialistic, and like I have already stated, the majority of our country has been swayed against it. Our government today is more involved than ever, taking away from our free-market economy, babying the lower and middle class into believing that the rich have done this to them. Obama has done a good job convincing his “less educated” citizens of this. Liberals are also doing what they can to get the lower class to “fly into the light” distracting them from the real problem. That the government is actually putting a damper on our economy by taking the possibility of profits away from businesses. I am definitely concerned that our nations economy could change because of liberalism and the thought of discarding all of what our nation has been built upon. For my future I am worried that the choices that I would like to make would be controlled and in turn hinder my success in business.  Without businesses that thrive and have success, where would jobs come from, and where would taxes be made up? Who would pay the salaries of the people that need those jobs. It is yet, the business owner that is able to do all of this. Because of that freedom we have enjoyed millions can have jobs and the government can receive their taxes. Sure China’s economy is thriving as communists. But travel to China. The majority of their population is living in the worst of conditions with even less freedom to get out of it. I think that it would be ignorant to do away with capitalism and put an end to entrepreneurship and success just to make it all 6’s across the board. It is a true sign of our countries uniformed lower class following blindly our ever growing socialistic government.
